Simphiwe was left a young widow and has spoken publicly over the years about the pain of the sudden loss and her journey of healing.
Ayanda Ncwane was married to popular gospel singer Sfiso Ncwane. He died on 5 December 2016 from kidney failure. Ayanda, who was in her early thirties at the time, has been open about the deep grief that followed and the difficulty of adjusting to life without him.
