A 30-year-old SA Woman Died After Allegedly Been Stabbed By Her Teen Foreign Boyfriend

A 30-year-old woman from Mohlakeng, near Randfontein in Gauteng, has died weeks after allegedly being stabbed by her boyfriend, leaving behind a three-year-old son and grieving family members who are demanding justice.

Lerato Itumeleng was reportedly attacked on August 1, 2026, sustaining serious injuries during the alleged incident. According to a report published by Kurrently on October 6, she later died from complications related to those injuries.

Her boyfriend was arrested in connection with the alleged attack and subsequently granted bail while the legal proceedings continue. Reports also indicate that he allegedly attempted to take his own life after the incident but survived.

In a particularly heartbreaking development, Itumeleng celebrated her 30th birthday on September 30, nearly two months after the alleged attack. Her death has since left her three-year-old son without his mother, while her grandmother and two brothers are struggling to come to terms with the loss.

The family is calling for justice and wants the authorities to ensure that the circumstances surrounding her death are thoroughly investigated and that the case proceeds through the courts. They have also appealed to anyone with information that could assist the investigation to come forward.
