Kenyans Receives A Morning Shócker After Bad News Emerge From UK About Oburu’s Health Condition

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Leader and Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga is taking a break from active political engagements as he continues to receive medical attention in the United Kingdom.

Oburu travelled to the UK following advice from his physicians and the ODM leadership, with the trip intended to allow him to undergo further medical evaluation while taking time to rest and recuperate.

The veteran politician has remained away from the centre of political activities as doctors continue assessing his condition and determining when he can return to Kenya.

His family has indicated that his condition has improved, although he remains in the UK as he continues with the recommended medical evaluation.

Oburu’s temporary absence comes at a significant time for ODM, which is involved in political discussions and strategic preparations ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Before leaving the country, Oburu assured ODM members that the party’s structures were strong enough to continue operating in his absence.

He pointed to Deputy Party Leaders Paul Simba Arati and Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir, alongside the National Central Committee and the party secretariat, as key institutions responsible for ensuring the party’s activities continue.

His absence has therefore shifted day-to-day political responsibilities to the party’s leadership structures as he focuses on his recovery.
