TotalEnergies Kenya H1 Net Profit up 21.3%to KSh 1.3bn

TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya Half-Year net profit rose 21.3% to KSh 1.3 billion with Revenue up 19.1% to KSh 84. 4billion.This is even as supply disruption caused by the Middle East war continues to hit the fortunes of many firms in Kenya.

The listed oil marketer saw its Gross Profit rise 15.3% to KSh 6.1billion while pre-tax profit edged 53.1% to KSh 2.2 billion. Earnings per Share rose 21.1% to KSh 2.12 while the oil dealer’s balance sheet size grew 6.3% to KSh 73.6 billion.

Directors of the firm have not declared any interim dividend.

According to TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya Board of Directors, despite volatility in the global energy markets, the firm delivered a strong performance with profit before tax increasing to KSh 2,165 million compared to KSh 1,414 million in h1 2025). Gross profit rose to KSh 6,145 million (2025: KSh 5,328 million), supported by higher sales volumes across all business segments.

Other income increased to KSh 868 million (2025: KSh 753 million), driven by continued growth in Shops, Food & Services (SFS) and third-party partnerships.

The Company’s operating expenses increased to KSh 4,364 million (2025: KSh 4,099 million), reflecting inflationary pressures and higher depreciation charges.

Net finance costs declined to KSh 550 million (2025: KSh 688 million), as a result of lower borrowing costs. This decline was achieved despite higher working capital requirements, reflecting effective management of the Company’s financing strategy.

Foreign exchange gains amounted to KSh 66 million (2025: KSh 119 million), reflecting the continued stability of the Kenya shilling against the US Dollar.

Total Energies Marketing Kenya maintained a strong cash flow position and invested KSh 1,240 million in key strategic initiatives, including network expansion, logistics optimisation and the development of its multi-energy strategy.

“TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya said it remains focused on managing a dynamic operating environment through its continued commitment to safety, operational excellence and profitable growth while maintaining strong cash flow generation.

These priorities position the Company to pursue emerging opportunities effectively,” Thibault Flichy, Managing Director TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya,

The Board said it is confident that the Company will maintain its positive momentum and continue delivering shareholder value throughout the remainder of the year.
