The rough-around-the-edges group from one of Nairobi’s ghettos, which went viral for their audacious promise to move Kenyans’ household goods with zero hesitation, has now landed not one but two major brand endorsement deals in quick succession.

Which deals did Heha Movers get?

Influencer and prankster Nicki Bigfish, who has been championing the group’s cause and helping them secure commercial opportunities, shared the exciting news on Facebook on Sunday, 16 August.

Photos accompanying the post showed the Heha Movers crew decked out in branded Hass shirts, fresh from signing their first advertising deal with the popular brand.

The wins kept coming.

By Tuesday, 18 August, Bigfish was back online with an even bigger announcement — a new partnership with Al Siddique Motors, a Nairobi car showroom. In the post, he expressed gratitude to the company for recognising the group’s potential and giving them a platform to grow.

“It feels incredible to see big brands and established companies recognising the hard work of HEHA Movers and giving the team opportunities to grow and shine,” Bigfish wrote.

Beyond the two brand deals, the group also linked up with celebrated Kenyan music act Matata to hype an upcoming show, further cementing their status as a force to be reckoned with in Kenya’s entertainment and brand promotion space.

Heha Movers first caught the internet’s attention with their bold but tongue-in-cheek pitch to potential clients.

The group, whose rugged appearances were a sharp contrast to their cheerful customer service promises, assured Kenyans they could leave them house keys, trust them with all their belongings, and even expect a meal prepared upon arrival.

The humour was not lost on Kenyans, who lapped it up and sent the group viral almost overnight.

What started as a joke has quickly turned into a legitimate hustle, with established brands now queuing up to associate with their name and energy.

Kenyans on social media have been both amused and inspired by the group’s rapid rise. Here is what some had to say:

Ram Zon:

“Heha Movers gives you a fresh star.”

Dennis Junior Jr:

“They are already wearing CEO’s suits.”

Brian Kips Dasilvah:

“When Jesus says yes, nobody can say no.”

Kiki Yasame:

“Heha Movers can move you from something to nothing.”

Isaack Yukay:

“They’ll move your goods to unknow

n destinations.”
