Accra, Aug. 18, GNA – Rev. Albert Ocran, Co-founder of the Springboard Road Show Foundation, has urged business leaders to pursue growth without compromising ethics and values.

He said leadership, entrepreneurship, investment, talent development and career growth were essential to building Africa’s future and creating sustainable opportunities for young people.

“Wealth, no matter how it is made, there must be boundaries that guide us, especially as we coach the next generation…” he said at the Impact Leaders Breakfast in Accra.

Rev. Ocran urged young people and entrepreneurs to tackle development challenges and create lasting impact as technology expanded access to global markets.

He also called on policymakers to strengthen value addition in agriculture and remove bottlenecks hindering growth, saying local processing could improve economic returns.

“Agriculture remains an integral part of Ghana’s economy but it not growing as fast as other industries… we must look at degradation of our lands and avert our minds to not just raw material production but processing our food from farm to the table,” he said.

The forum, themed “Leading Together: Global Insights for Local Impact,” brought together business leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to discuss leadership, innovation, sustainability and opportunities for young people.

Mr Kafui Prebbie, Chief Executive Officer of the Prebbie Group and Convener of the forum, urged business leaders and entrepreneurs to strengthen collaboration, embrace innovation and invest in the next generation of business owners to promote sustainable growth across Africa.

He said Africa’s future depended on innovation and effective collaboration among business leaders, urging entrepreneurs to think beyond national borders and recognise long-term value.

Mr Prebbie identified leadership, entrepreneurship and investment as key pillars for unlocking Africa’s potential and challenged young people to embrace emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence, to build businesses and improve productivity.

“Technology is not taking away people’s jobs; it is helping people work faster and smarter. What matters is how people use these tools ethically and effectively,” he said.

Mr Prebbie urged businesses and young people to adapt global ideas to local realities and leverage Ghana’s high mobile phone penetration to access opportunities in the digital economy.

He said the forum had over the years translated into tangible support for vulnerable groups, including donations towards educational initiatives, adding that the 2026 edition would deepen collaboration among leaders, entrepreneurs and investors.

Ms Blessing Okam, Communication and Engagement Manager at Implementers, said the forum and related programmes supported orphanages and provided educational and developmental interventions, particularly for young people.

She said quarterly business webinars would guide entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds as the organisation continued its work in education, health and entrepreneurship.
