The clip, which has since gone viral, was filmed at what appeared to be a casual event attended by a number of Kenyans in the United States.

The mystery man, whose name has not been established, stood out in a cowboy hat teamed with a shirt and trousers, a look that reminded many viewers of Gachagua’s own dress sense at public events.

Does Gachagua have a look alike?

The person behind the camera could barely contain their excitement, repeatedly pointing out the similarities between the man and the DCP party leader, from the way he smiled to his hairstyle and overall build.

“This guy looks like Gachagua. He really looks like Gachagua,” the videographer said, with clear amusement in their voice.

Gachagua has himself been photographed in similar cowboy-style outfits on a number of occasions, both during trips to the US and at local functions in Kenya, which only added fuel to the online fire.

The resemblance was so uncanny that several commenters suggested the man could pass for a close relative of the former deputy president rather than just a random lookalike.
