Accra, Aug. 14, GNA – The Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) has appointed Mr Simon Koku Gluikpor as Technical Director and Madam Hannah Akua Humphrey as a member of its Executive Board as part of efforts to strengthen the federation’s administration and technical development.

The appointments were announced in a notice dated Aug. 13 and addressed to all Member Regional Associations (MRAs).

The GTF said the appointments were made by its President, Mr Frederick Lartey Otu, to support the growth and effective management of taekwondo in Ghana.

As Technical Director, Gluikpor would provide technical leadership and guidance to the federation and collaborate with the Executive Board, regional associations, coaches, referees, athletes and other stakeholders to enhance the development and performance of the sport across the country.

Madam Humphrey, who joins the Executive Board, is expected to support the implementation of federation policies, programmes and initiatives.

The federation said she would also contribute to administrative development and assist with financial matters assigned by the Executive Board.

The GTF called on all regional associations to offer the newly appointed officials the necessary cooperation and support to enable them to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
It further urged regional executives to maintain close communication with the Technical Director on technical matters and with the Executive Board on issues related to federation programmes and administration.

According to the federation, the appointments form part of its commitment to building a strong, professional, coordinated and development-oriented administration for the 2026-2030 term.

The federation congratulated both appointees and expressed confidence in their ability to contribute to the advancement of taekwondo in Ghana.
