Incumbent North East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Fusheini Nurudeen, has retained his position after winning the regional executive elections.
Fusheini Nurudeen polled 92 votes to defeat his contender, Sulley Sambian, who secured 64 votes.
A total of 156 valid votes were cast in the chairmanship contest.
Other candidates elected to the North East Regional executive are:
Youth Organiser: Abdul-Aziz Iddrisu
Women Organiser: Jamila Abuba
Treasurer: Mammara Daniel
Communications Officer: Amos Walibe
Organiser: Amos Yambil
The newly elected executives are expected to lead the NPP’s activities in the region and spearhead efforts to strengthen the party’s structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
