According to him, His Excellency the Governor of Enugu State, Dr Peter Mbah, through the CSDA will provide more potable water and public toilets in SUMASTH.

He said that the social amenities interventions at the teaching hospital and SUMAS would augment the already existing ones for smoother running of SUMASTH and SUMAS.

“This historic working visit was for a possible project interventions especially in the areas of construction of toilets and boreholes to augment the availability of potable water supply in the Teaching Hospital.

“These amenities are imperative because of the high patronage of the SUMAS Teaching Hospital.

“The special intervention will solve the challenge of high demand of water in the university as a result of rapid influx of students and large number of staff in both SUMASTH and SUMAS,” he said.

Ani said that the Gov. Mbah remained intentional in fixing every important sector and connecting the dots of development towards making Enugu State the best state in Nigeria.

On the sight tour of the teaching hospital, he said that it was a memorable medical tourism experience due to its embodiment of high-tech cum state-of-the-art teaching hospital facilities.

Responding, the CMD of SUMASTH, Prof. Hughes Okafor, expressed gratitude to the CSDA team for the bold initiatives and intervention step taken so far.

Okafor lauded Gov. Mbah for the continuous support to ensure that standards and service delivery at the institution remain top-notch.
