Popular Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, professionally known as Portable, has finally explained why he walked out of the ring during his celebrity boxing rematch against actor Charles Okocha.

The highly anticipated “Chaos In The Ring” event took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Friday, July 31, 2026. The contest ended in dramatic fashion after Portable abandoned the fight during the opening round, leading officials to declare Charles Okocha the winner.

The rematch was arranged after their first celebrity boxing encounter in 2023, which Portable won. Okocha had disputed the outcome and activated the rematch clause, setting the stage for another showdown between the two entertainers.

The bout began with both men exchanging blows before the contest descended into chaos as Portable suddenly left the ring and refused to continue. His withdrawal sparked widespread reactions online, with several videos from the event quickly going viral across social media platforms.

Addressing the incident in a new video, Portable claimed he exited the fight because Charles Okocha allegedly abandoned conventional boxing tactics and resorted to actions he considered unfair.

According to the singer, Okocha bit him on the back and locked his neck tightly during the contest, making it impossible for him to continue.

“Charles Okocha bit me on the back and locked my neck tightly during the boxing match,” Portable said.

The “Zazoo Zeh” crooner added that he had expected a straightforward one-on-one boxing contest rather than what he described as wrestling tactics inside the ring.

Despite the official result awarding victory to Charles Okocha, Portable insisted that he still considers himself the true champion of the bout, maintaining that the outcome did not reflect what happened inside the ring.
