Nigeria passport and ticket

The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) has earned public commendation following its intervention in the successful renewal of a Nigerian international passport for a citizen who said she had experienced delays in the process.

In a testimony shared online, the woman narrated that her passport renewal application had remained unresolved for an extended period despite efforts to complete the process through the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).

She said that after contacting the Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu led PEBEC to seek assistance, the matter received prompt attention, leading to the issuance of her passport.

Expressing appreciation, she described the experience as evidence that government institutions can deliver effective services, adding, “Yes, Nigeria works.”

The development underscores PEBEC’s role in collaborating with Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to address administrative bottlenecks, improve public service delivery, and create a more efficient operating environment for citizens and businesses.

Observers say such interventions can help strengthen public confidence in government institutions by demonstrating the benefits of inter-agency collaboration in resolving service delivery challenges.

Established by the Federal Government, PEBEC is mandated to improve Nigeria’s business and regulatory environment through reforms that promote efficiency, transparency, and accountability across public institutions.

The Council has continued to work with MDAs to simplify administrative processes, reduce delays, and enhance the quality of services available to Nigerians.

The online testimony has attracted positive reactions, with many social media users describing the outcome as an encouraging example of responsive governance and improved public service delivery.
