The New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on unsuccessful aspirants in the party’s constituency executive elections to rally behind those elected and work together to strengthen the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In a statement issued on Saturday, July 11, Dr. Bawumia congratulated the newly elected constituency executives following the successful completion of elections held across the country, describing their victory as a reflection of the confidence placed in them by the party’s grassroots.
He expressed confidence in the new executives to provide leadership, unity and commitment required to strengthen the party’s structures and mobilise members towards victory in the next presidential and parliamentary elections.
Dr. Bawumia also urged those who were unsuccessful in their bids not to view the outcome as a setback, but rather to continue contributing to the growth and development of the NPP.
According to him, every party member has a crucial role to play in building a stronger and more united party capable of regaining power in 2028.
“Unity remains our greatest strength and the surest path to victory in 2028,” he added.
The NPP held its constituency executive elections nationwide on Saturday, July 11, as part of efforts to reorganise its grassroots structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
