Reacting to the news, Botha said, “I really look forward to joining the Netherlands team in this important period in the World Cup League 2 against Namibia and Nepal,”
“Having tracked their progress over the past few years, it will be great to work with the players, coaches and staff.”
Botha represented South Africa in five Tests, 78 One Day Internationals and 40 T20 Internationals between 2005 and 2012, leading the Proteas in both limited-overs formats during his international career.
Since his retirement from the sport, he has held several coaching positions across franchise leagues around the world such as the Pakistan Super League, the Big Bash League, Major League Cricket, Carribean Premier League and also Queensland cricket in Australia.
