Ghana captain Jordan Ayew has made a bold declaration ahead of Black Stars encounter with the Three Lions on Tuesday night.

The four times Africa Champions will battle England in their 2026 FIFA World Cup Group L second fixture. With the crunchy clash scheduled for Tuesday June 22, 2026 at the Gillette Stadium in Boston. Both teams are targeting their second victory which will propel them to round 32 of the global showpiece.

Ghana secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Panama whiles England beat Croatia 4-2 in their respective matches.

A win for Ghana, is qualification to the knock out phase, something the Black Stars have struggled to emulate since 2010 when they made it to the quarter final. With sticks high for both nations, Jordan Ayew makes a promise to Ghanaians to fight till their last drop against England.

“I can promise Ghanaians that we’re going to give our 100 per cent against England”

“We are going to fight and we will make sure that, when we come out of this game, we will have no regrets”, the forward said during the pre-match.

Ghana is marking their fifth appearance at the Mundial and to rewrite their history is paramount this edition, as head coach Carlos Queiroz offers momentum to the team and Ghanaians.
