Rootz Sistaz and Immigration Ladies secure Women’s Premier League qualification

Rootz Sistaz and Immigration Ladies have secured qualification to the 2026/27 Women’s Premier League following the conclusion of Group A of the GFA Regional Women’s Championship and the outcomes of two protest cases that reshaped the final standings.

Rootz Sistaz confirmed qualification after an impressive campaign that saw them finish top of the table with 13 points from five matches.

The side recorded four wins and one draw, remaining unbeaten throughout the competition while scoring 17 goals and conceding seven.

Immigration Ladies also booked their place in next season’s Women’s Premier League after finishing second with eight points from five matches.

The final standings were confirmed following disciplinary decisions involving protest cases that resulted in points deductions for Sissamba Ladies and Essiam Socrates.

Sissamba Ladies, who had initially mounted a strong challenge for qualification, dropped to third position with six points after the protest ruling for fielding an unqualified player during the campaign.

Essiam Socrates also suffered setbacks from a protest decision for fielding  an unqualified players and finished fourth with four points.

Adidome Unity Ladies and Blacoe Soccer Queens completed the standings with three points each.

The outcome officially confirms Rootz Sistaz and Immigration Ladies as the two teams promoted from Group A to the Women’s Premier League for the 2026/27 season.

The promoted sides will now turn their attention toward preparations for Ghana’s top-flight women’s football league next season.
