Samsung Electronics has officially introduced the new Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G smartphones onto the Ghanaian market, bringing advanced artificial intelligence-powered features, upgraded cameras and long-term software support to consumers at more affordable price points.
The launch forms part of Samsung’s broader strategy to extend AI-enabled mobile technology beyond its flagship devices by making premium-style features more accessible to everyday smartphone users.
The company said the latest additions to the Galaxy A Series combine improved performance, enhanced security, upgraded photography capabilities and durable designs aimed at meeting the needs of students, professionals, content creators and entertainment users.
Speaking on the launch, TM Roh, Chief Executive Officer, President and Head of Device eXperience Division at Samsung Electronics, said the new devices demonstrate the company’s commitment to expanding artificial intelligence capabilities across more products.
“The new Galaxy A series reflects our continued commitment to AI democratisation by bringing the latest innovations to more Galaxy users,” he stated.
He added that the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G would deliver “reliable everyday performance to users around the world and drive rapid AI expansion.”
Samsung said both devices run on the latest One UI 8.5 software and feature an upgraded “Awesome Intelligence” system designed to simplify daily activities and improve productivity.
Among the AI-powered features introduced are Voice Transcription for converting voice recordings into text, AI Select for extracting and organising on-screen content, and enhanced Object Eraser capabilities that allow users to remove unwanted elements from photographs more naturally.
The Galaxy A57 5G also introduces an upgraded Best Face feature that helps users select the best facial expressions in group photos, while Google’s Circle to Search now supports multi-object recognition for easier visual searches.
Samsung further integrated upgraded Bixby voice assistance and Gemini AI support into the devices to allow users to perform tasks across applications using conversational commands.
Photography remains a major focus of the new smartphones, with both models equipped with triple rear camera systems led by a 50-megapixel main sensor designed to deliver clearer images under different lighting conditions.
The company said improved Nightography features would enhance low-light photography and video recording, helping users capture brighter and sharper images during nighttime use.
Samsung also highlighted performance upgrades on the Galaxy A57 5G, which comes with improved CPU, GPU and NPU capabilities for smoother gaming, streaming, scrolling and multitasking.
The devices feature a 5,000mAh battery capable of lasting up to two days under normal usage, while Super Fast Charging 2.0 technology allows the battery to charge up to 60 per cent within approximately 30 minutes.
Both smartphones are equipped with Super AMOLED+ displays featuring Vision Booster technology to improve outdoor visibility and viewing clarity.
In terms of durability, Samsung said the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G are rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, offering users additional protection during everyday use.
The company also announced up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, alongside six years of security updates, as part of efforts to improve device longevity and consumer confidence.
Security enhancements on the devices include Samsung Knox Vault protection, Privacy Alerts, Theft Protection, Auto Blocker and a new Private Album feature for safeguarding personal media files.
Samsung said the latest Galaxy A Series devices are now available in Ghana through authorised retail outlets and partner stores nationwide.
