I’m a Celebrity viewers admitted they were “obsessed” as a new friendship formed between two camp favourites.
I’m a Celebrity South Africa is now in full swing as the ITV spin-off series is halfway through its second week. 12 famous faces are still in the camp, but ahead of the first elimination the stars were getting antsy over the lack of food.
Living off mostly a diet of rice and beans, the celebrities have been struggling to deal with their appetite. Things were made worse after the camp was split into two thanks to the arrival of Jimmy Bullard and Harry Redknapp.

The Rhino’s have won two challenges in a row, meaning they had the luxury of eating well, while the Lion’s remained on rice and beans while smelling the goods through the wall.
On Wednesday (April 15) night, things were getting too much for Gemma Collins who became emotional while speaking with Adam Thomas away from camp.
As she sat on the ground, she told Adam that she wasn’t feeling well and was struggling with the camp lifestyle. Adam wiped away her tears, before the pair laughed at how bad things were.
Viewers will recall that Gemma first appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in 2014, but quit after 72 hours. However, she’s back for the all-stars series and has said she’s determined to prove she can do it.
Meanwhile, Adam originally appeared in the jungle during the sixteenth series in 2016. He finished in third place behind winner Scarlett Moffatt and runner-up Joel Dommett. During his stint on the ITV show, Adam faced 11 trials and earned a whopping 49 stars for his fellow campmates.

As the show progressed, viewers admitted that they are “obsessed” with the newly formed friendship that has blossomed between Gemma and Adam.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), @azz_sparks penned: “I’m obsessed with @missgemcollins & @adamthomas21 friendship! They’ve been non stop entertaining!”
@celeb_fc added: “Aww how lovely is the #Adam and #Gemma friendship” as @kevwgs wrote: “Massive shout out for Adam Thomas and his friendship with Gemma Collins. He really is an absolutely smashing bloke.”
