The Minister of Interior, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, has reaffirmed government’s commitment to protecting Ghana from emerging terrorist threats within the sub-region.

Addressing the National Counter-Terrorism Stakeholders Meeting in Accra, the Minister outlined key measures being pursued to strengthen national security, including enhancing intelligence systems, improving inter-agency coordination, and tightening border controls.

He stressed the importance of timely information sharing and the development of reliable databases as critical tools in tackling modern security threats.

He also called on all stakeholders to set aside institutional rivalries and collaborate effectively in the national interest.

“We will not be complacent,” the Minister stated, assuring that the government remains resolute in safeguarding the country.

Muntaka added that under the current administration, efforts would be intensified to ensure Ghana continues to serve as a beacon of peace and stability within the West African sub-region.
