GWM Menlyn was named the overall Dealer of the Year, in addition to securing the Mega Dealer Category, reflecting consistent high performance across all key areas of the business.

GWM Menlyn, part of the Hatfield Motor Group, also won the following awards: Best marketing (Mega Dealer category), Best Sales Manager (Mega Dealer Category) and Best Dealer Principal (Mega Dealer Category).

In total the Hatfield Motor Group was nominated for 19 awards and won 9 in total.

Elsabe Herselman, Dealer Principal at GWM Menlyn, tells Dealerfloor she is incredibly proud and it was a defining moment for our entire team at GWM Menlyn. “To be nominated across so many categories already spoke to the depth, consistency, and commitment within our business. To convert that into five major wins, along with contributing to the Group of the Year award, is truly special.”

From left are Desmond Els (Head of Sales GWM South Africa), Kevin Lee (Managing Director GWM South Africa), Elsabe Herselman (DP GWM Menlyn) and Conrad Groenewald (COO GWM South Africa).

She says the achievements are a direct reflection of the hard work, discipline, and shared vision between the dealership team, their group, and GWM as a brand. “It highlights the strength of our partnership and our collective focus on delivering exceptional customer service across every touchpoint of the business.”

“From growing our car park and strengthening our sales structures, to consistently achieving key KPIs alongside our dealer and group partners, this recognition validates the standards we hold ourselves to every day. Being acknowledged through awards such as Best Sales Manager, Best Dealer Principal, and ultimately Overall GWM Network Dealer of the Year, reinforces that we are building something meaningful and sustainable,” she tells us.

“We are especially proud to represent Hatfield Motor Group and to stand as GWM Menlyn within the network. Retaining our position as Mega Dealer of the Year from 2024 into 2025, and further achieving Overall Dealer of the Year, marks a significant milestone in our journey as a growing and evolving dealership. We are incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and even more excited about where we are going,” she concludes.

This year’s event was further elevated by the presence of global leadership, including Nicole Wu, Chief Technology Officer of GWM, and Dr. Richard Zhu, Chief Engineer of Powertrain, who addressed the dealer network.

2025 Dealer of the Year Winners:

  • Best Dealer – Very Small: GWM Knysna
  • Best Dealer – Small: GWM Kimberley
  • Best Dealer – Medium: GWM Toti
  • Best Dealer – Large: GWM Silver Lakes
  • Best Dealer – Mega: GWM Menlyn
  • Best Group – Hatfield Motor Group

Commenting on the awards, Conrad Groenewald, Chief Operating Officer of GWM South Africa, said: “Our dealer network is the backbone of our business. The Dealer of the Year Awards recognise the discipline, commitment, and consistency required to perform at the highest level. These results reflect the strength of our network and its role in driving our continued growth in South Africa.”

Floyd Ramabulana, Head of Marketing at GWM South Africa, added: “Our dealers play a critical role in shaping how customers experience the GWM brand. The calibre of this year’s winners reflects a network that is evolving in capability, competitiveness, and customer focus.”

Opening the evening’s programme was the reveal of the ORA 05, unveiled centre stage as a standout moment of the Dealer of the Year awards. Building on the success of the ORA 3 as a fully electric model, the ORA 05 signals an exciting next step for the brand, introducing a broader range of powertrain options, including petrol and hybrid derivatives.
