At the Elite Indoor Track Miramas Meeting, he showed slight improvement, progressing to the final after finishing third in the heats before placing eighth overall. He later competed at the Russian Winter Games, finishing fourth in the 60m final.
His slow start to the season has largely been attributed to an injury setback, which disrupted his early preparations.
Outdoors, Omanyala has only featured at the Lefika International Relays so far, but his newly unveiled schedule signals a return to full competition mode as he builds momentum toward major global assignments.
