The Member of Parliament for Salaga South Constituency, Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has joined fellow gender advocates, development partners, and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Lomé, Togo, for a high-level regional forum focused on strengthening gender-responsive parliaments.

The event, which commenced on Day One with an opening ceremony and plenary session, forms part of efforts to enhance strategic and operational planning for gender equity across legislative bodies in the region.

Speaking from Lomé, Hon. Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah expressed her enthusiasm about participating in the forum, describing it as a significant platform for advancing advocacy on gender equality and women’s empowerment. “It has been a great experience joining my colleagues in promoting enhanced advocacy for gender equity and empowerment. I am humbled to represent the Parliament of Ghana at this important and high-level forum,” she stated.

The forum brings together key stakeholders to deliberate on practical approaches to strengthening inclusive governance and ensuring that parliamentary processes are more responsive to gender concerns.
