In the spirit of unity, faith, and togetherness, Malta Guinness paid a courtesy visit to Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam of Ghana, during the final days of the holy month of Ramadan.

The visit was part of the brand’s ongoing engagement with the Muslim community as part of its broader campaign platform, “We Move Together.”Ramadan is a sacred period of reflection, prayer, compassion, and community.

Recognising the deep spiritual significance of the season for Muslims across Ghana, Malta Guinness took the opportunity to honour the community and express appreciation for the generations of support the brand has received from Muslim consumers, particularly during Iftar, when families and communities come together to break the fast.

Speaking during the visit, Ag. Marketing Director at Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC, Sabina Manu, shared, “Malta Guinness remains committed to standing with communities during meaningful cultural and religious moments as a refreshing and nourishing drink, enriched with B vitamins and brewed with a quality that has stood the test of time”.

She further spoke to Malta Guinness’s status as a Made-in-Ghana brand, noting that the sorghum central to the brew is sustainably sourced from farming communities in Northern Ghana.

This partnership, she emphasised, reflects GGB PLC’s broader commitment to investing in local livelihoods and building an inclusive value chain that strengthens communities across the country.

The visit included the presentation of Malta Guinness products as a gesture of goodwill to support moments of fellowship during the closing days of Ramadan and the upcoming Eid celebrations.

His Eminence Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu warmly received the delegation and expressed appreciation for the thoughtful gesture during the holy month, emphasising the importance of unity, goodwill and mutual respect among communities.

As the celebrations continue beyond Ramadan, we are also excited to stand with the community at Sallafest, which crowns the Eid festivities. It is another opportunity for us to celebrate togetherness, share refreshing moments, and continue moving forward together in unity and joy.

Malta Guinness wishes His Eminence, the chief Imam and the entire Muslim community peace, blessings, and a joyful Eid celebration.
