Veteran Yoruba actor Ganiu Nafiu, widely known as Alapini Osa, has shared his thoughts about President Bola Tinubu’s leadership and the future of Nigeria.
Naija News reports that Osa said the country may need more time under the current administration to deal with its many challenges.
Alapini Osa made the remarks during a recent interview with fellow actor Kunle Afod.
According to the actor, Nigerians should exercise patience and allow Tinubu enough time to carry out the plans of his government.
He said he believes the President came into office for a reason and that the work he intends to do cannot be completed within a short period.
Alapini Osa said his view is based on the belief that leadership is not accidental and that Tinubu’s emergence as President may be part of a bigger purpose.
He said that if Nigeria’s many challenges are to be fully addressed, the President might need more time in power beyond the usual limit.
Speaking in Yoruba, he said: “If God did not have a purpose for Nigeria through him, He would not have made him president. I believe he was sent to accomplish something, and he is already working towards it… If all the country’s problems were to be resolved, Tinubu should be allowed to serve a third term.”
