The France chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, arguing that the administration’s policy direction has begun to reposition Nigeria despite prevailing challenges.

The endorsement, contained in a statement on Wednesday by the chapter’s chairperson, Hajia Amina Suzuki, followed what she described as a rigorous assessment of the government’s performance. According to her, the administration has demonstrated the resolve needed to navigate economic turbulence while laying the groundwork for sustained national recovery.

The chapter pointed to a series of policy interventions under the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that early outcomes suggest a shift in trajectory. Fiscal adjustments, renewed attention to the oil and gas sector, and efforts to attract investment were cited as indicators that confidence in Nigeria’s economy is gradually being restored.

Suzuki maintained that while the reforms have come with difficult consequences, they represent necessary steps toward long-term stability and inclusive growth, insisting that the foundations for a broader economic rebound are already being laid.

“As Nigerians in the diaspora, we closely monitor global economic indicators and investor sentiment. Nigeria’s economic narrative is changing for the better. The resilience demonstrated by this administration, alongside its commitment to infrastructure development, social investment, security enhancement, and youth empowerment, stands as proof of purposeful governance,” the statement stated

Beyond the President, the chapter also spotlighted the role of Vice President Kashim Shettima, attributing policy coordination and implementation drive to his office, which it said has strengthened the administration’s capacity to deliver on its agenda.

The group argued that the Tinubu-Shettima ticket embodies the leadership qualities required to reposition Nigeria in an increasingly competitive global environment, citing competence, vision, and political will as defining attributes.

Significantly, the endorsement was not merely symbolic. The chapter outlined a mobilisation strategy aimed at translating diaspora support into electoral impact, pledging active participation in grassroots engagement ahead of the polls.

“In view of these achievements, the APC France Chapter has resolved to mobilise massive support for President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima ahead of the 2027 elections. We are committed to returning home in our numbers to actively participate in grassroots mobilisation, voter education, and strategic engagement to ensure a resounding victory at the polls.

“Nigeria is on a journey of renewal. This is not the time to retreat; it is the time to consolidate progress. Continuity in leadership will guarantee stability, deepen reforms, and secure the gains already recorded.

“We therefore call on all Nigerians, both at home and in the diaspora, to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in 2027 to sustain the momentum of national transformation,” the statement said.
