Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams

The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has confirmed that the newly appointed members of the Black Stars’ technical team will not receive monthly salaries as part of their engagement with the national team.

Speaking on the arrangement, the minister clarified that none of the new additions to the technical bench is on a salaried contract.

According to him, their appointment is strictly tied to Ghana’s World Cup campaign and does not include a fixed monthly payment.

“None of them will be on any salary. None of them is on a salary, but they will benefit from some of the allowances that are paid to the team, and these additions are just for the World Cup,” he stated.

He further explained that the contractual agreement will automatically end after the World Cup, emphasizing that the engagement is temporary and performance-based.

The Minister’s comments shed light on the government’s approach to managing expenditure within the national team setup, particularly as preparations intensify for the global tournament.
