The Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Oto/Ijanikin, through its Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Skills Development (DESD), has partnered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to organize a business registration drive for students.
The exercise, held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the E.T.F Hall, attracted officials from the commission, university staff, and a large number of students eager to formalize their business ventures.
The initiative was designed to assist students in registering their businesses officially, in line with the university’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and self-reliance among undergraduates.
In her address, the Vice-Chancellor of LASUED, Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Daodu Morufu Adebayo, welcomed the CAC delegation and commended the commission for extending its services to the university community.
She encouraged students to pay close attention to the enlightenment session and adhere strictly to the registration guidelines to ensure a smooth process.
During the interactive session, CAC facilitator Mr. Tochukwu Okonkwo explained the requirements for registration, including business name availability and nature of operations. He outlined the available registration options and urged students to take advantage of the opportunity to secure and legitimize their enterprises.
