Right environment will unlock Nigeria’s business potential – DGW Founder, Samuel

By Adesina Wahab
Entrepreneur and automotive services boss, Ajilore Obafemi Samuel, has said Nigeria holds enormous business opportunities that can be fully unlocked if the government creates a more enabling and stable environment for investors and local entrepreneurs.

Samuel, founder of DGW and its logistics arm, Errand Boy, noted that beyond the challenges often highlighted in the economy, Nigeria remains a fertile ground for innovation, enterprise and expansion.

“Nigeria is full of opportunities,” he said. “If the government creates the right business environment — stable policies, improved infrastructure and supportive regulations — you will see massive growth across different sectors.”

According to him, many young entrepreneurs are willing to invest their time, energy and resources into building sustainable ventures, but they need consistency and institutional support to scale.

Samuel’s own journey reflects the power of belief in opportunity. Before launching DGW, he sold his car in Dubai to raise capital — a decision he describes as a strategic sacrifice to build a long-term vision. A graduate of Gateway Polytechnic, Igbesa, where he studied Business Administration, he has since grown DGW into a recognised automotive service brand steadily expanding into logistics and broader mobility solutions.

He believes Nigeria’s large population, growing consumer base and expanding urban centres present strong potential for sectors such as automotive services, logistics, technology and retail.

“When policies are stable and the environment is predictable, investors will come. Local businesses will grow. Jobs will be created,” Samuel said. “The opportunity is already here — it just needs the right structure to thrive.”

For Samuel, entrepreneurship is not just about profit but about building systems that outlive their founders. With improved governance and business-friendly reforms, he insists, Nigeria can become one of Africa’s most attractive destinations for investment.
