The Naa Afrimpong IV, Queen Mother of Jamestown in the Greater Accra Region, in partnership with Simone Giger, Switzerland’s Ambassador to Ghana, has conducted a tour of selected schools across the Greater Accra Region to reinforce her commitment to girl-child education and skills training.

The visits, which included several basic and senior high schools in and around Jamestown, form part of the Queen Mother’s broader advocacy agenda to promote quality education and equip young people—especially girls—with practical skills for the future.

Schools visited during the tour included Mamprobi South 3 Basic School, Amamomo, Ashia Mills, Accra Royal, Sempe School, Kojo Ababio, and City Engineers, among others.

Addressing students and teachers, Naa Afrimpong IV emphasised that education is a powerful tool for transformation.

She noted that investing in the education of girls not only benefits individual families but also strengthens entire communities, highlighting the critical role of education in societal development.
