In a major crackdown on harmful content, platforms removed over 204 million videos globally for violating community guidelines. Impressively, 99.3% were taken down before users reported them, with 94.8% removed within 24 hours.
AI played a key role, detecting and eliminating 91% of violative content.
Additionally, 580,000 videos were removed in a recent period, with 96.4% deleted within a day and 90,000 live sessions interrupted for rule breaches.
Platforms also removed over 118 million fake accounts and more than 22 million accounts suspected of being operated by users under 13, reinforcing online safety worldwide.
