Dr. Charles Brempong Yeboah, a former MP for Atiwa West and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, has reportedly passed away. Speaker Alban Bagbin was formally notified of Dr. Yeboah’s passing by his family, led by Atiwa East MP Abena Osei-Asare on behalf of Atiwa West MP Laurette Korkor Asante. Dr. Yeboah served two terms in Parliament from 2001 to 2009 and was named Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister under former President John Agyekum Kufu.
Dr. Charles Brempong Yeboah, the former deputy minister of foreign affairs and member of parliament for Atiwa West, has reportedly passed away. This was confirmed by the deceased Ghanaian politician’s family on Wednesday, February 12, 2026, when they visited Parliament.

An overview of Dr. Brempong Yeboah’s qualifications From 2001 to 2009, the late Dr. Charles Brempong Yeboah represented the people of Atiwa West as a Member of Parliament for two terms. He was named Ghana’s Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister during this time by former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

Dr. Yeboah was born in Atiwa West, a small village in Ghana’s Eastern Region, on May 5, 1954. He was a distinguished academic scholar and professional entomologist before entering politics in the 1990s.

Source: Facebook From 1989 to 2000, he was a senior lecturer in entomology at the University of Ghana’s Crop Science Department, which was part of the Faculty of Agriculture at the time. He ran on the New Patriotic Party’s ticket for the Atiwa West parliamentary seat in the 2000 election.

Out of 27,959 valid votes, he received 18,689 votes, or 66.80% of the total. In the 2006 elections, the voters of Atiwa West re-elected him based on his outstanding performance as MP and deputy minister. He received 25,468 votes out of 34,314 valid ballots, or 74.20 percent of the total.
The NDC Ayawaso East Primary is won by Baba Jamal. Kwasi Annoh Ankamah, however, defeated Dr. Yeboah in the NPP parliamentary primary during the 2008 election. Check out the following Facebook post:

A well-known NDC communications officer passes away Nana Kwadwo Busia, the communication officer for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Jaman South Municipality, has reportedly passed away, according to YEN.com.gh.Shortly after hearing a loud noise coming from his farm, his wife reportedly discovered him unconscious. On that fatal day, the NDC communicator reportedly started his day without exhibiting any outward symptoms of illness or anxiety.
