The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB PLC) has marked a significant corporate milestone with the unveiling of a new corporate cloth, symbolising the Bank’s enduring legacy, shared values, and renewed commitment to excellence as it continues its transformation journey.

The launch of the new corporate cloth, which coincided with the Bank’s annual thanksgiving, forms part of activities to commemorate the Bank’s evolution over the past 60 years, reflecting its identity as a trusted financial institution deeply rooted in Ghana’s development agenda.

Designed to embody the Bank’s core values, colours, and heritage, the cloth represents unity, pride, and a shared sense of purpose among staff, customers and all stakeholders.

In his brief remarks before the launch, the Managing Director of ADB, Edward Ato Sarpong stated that the unveiling of the new corporate cloth further entrusts on us, a duty and responsibility to do our work well and right in order to put the Bank at its rightful place and foster sustainable growth.

“ADB has all the necessary elements and conditions to dominate the sector and be an industry leader, and we are determined to ensure the realisation of this vision in the shortest possible time,” the MD said.

Launching the new cloth, the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) in charge of Operations, Sylvia Naa Kwakai Nyante, noted that the introduction of the new corporate cloth goes beyond aesthetics, serving as a powerful expression of the Bank’s culture and collective vision.

“This cloth tells our story, where we have come from, what we stand for, and where we are headed. It reflects our commitment to service, integrity, and our promise of going Beyond Banking,” she said.

The DMD Operations further explained that the cloth, anchored on the theme “Flourish & Solid Like a Diamond,” symbolises growth and resilience.

The ‘Flourish’ concept draws inspiration from flower-like patterns created from the Bank’s wave accent, representing progress and continuous growth, while the tiny diamond shapes embedded in the design signify solidity, endurance, and stability which define ADB PLC’s legacy and future aspirations.

Sylvia mentioned that this was a milestone which underscores ADB PLC’s appreciation of its employees, whose dedication has been central to the Bank’s success and longevity.

By introducing a refreshed corporate cloth after years of not having same, the Bank aims to strengthen staff cohesion while reinforcing a strong, recognisable brand identity to the public.

In line with its Beyond Banking corporate tagline, Nyante disclosed that ADB PLC continues to remain innovative, maintaining the importance of preserving institutional heritage while leveraging innovation for sustainable growth.

“The corporate cloth therefore stands as a visual reminder of the Bank’s transformation journey and its ongoing efforts to support individuals, businesses, and communities across Ghana,” she stated.

The DMD Operations was also pleased to state that the cloth was designed internally, by the Unit Head in charge of creatives within the Marketing and Communications Department, Abigail Amo-Tweneboah, “reflecting not only creativity, but also the depth of talent we continue to nurture within the Bank,” she further stated.

For her part, the Ag. Head of Human Resources (HR), Abena Abrefi Antwi, described the new corporate cloth as a symbol of shared identity among staff.

She noted that the introduction reinforces the Bank’s commitment to its people, recognising employees as the driving force behind ADB PLC’s success over the years.

“This corporate cloth represents more than a design; it reflects our collective values, our resilience as a workforce, and the culture we continue to build together. After over five years without a corporate cloth, its introduction is a meaningful moment to us, reinforcing who we are as one ADB family,” she stated.

She added that the initiative aligns with the Bank’s people-first philosophy and Beyond Banking promise, which places employees and customers at the centre of organisational growth.
