Education, Deputy Communication Ministers’ Convoy Crash On Bolgatanga‑Tumu Road

The vehicles involved in the accident

The Office of the Minister for Education, has confirmed that the Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, and Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Technology, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, have been involved in a car crash on the Bolgatanga‑Tumu Road.

The two are reported to be in a stable condition following the accident which occurred earlier today.

A statement signed by Hashmin Mohammed, Press Secretary to the Minister for Education, indicated that the ministers and their teams were travelling for an official engagement in the Upper West Region to mark the 40th anniversary celebrations of Tumu College of Education and Jahan College of Education when the incident occurred.

According to him, all members of the convoy are reported to be stable and are receiving the necessary medical attention.

The Office expressed appreciation to the emergency responders, health professionals, and members of the public for their swift assistance and concern.

It added that further updates will be communicated when necessary.
