Darkovibes is urging his colleague artistes to stay clear of other people's fights Darkovibes is urging his colleague artistes to stay clear of other people’s fights

Popular Ghanaian musician Darkovibes has cautioned fellow artistes against involving themselves in feuds of other colleagues, stressing that such rivalries often do more harm than good.

Speaking in an interview with MC Portfolio on Angel FM, the singer was asked about his relationship with rival dancehall heavyweights Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale and how he manages to stay neutral amid their long-running rivalry.

Darkovibes explained that he deliberately keeps his distance from conflicts that do not concern him.

“When they were friends doing their thing together, I wasn’t there. So, if there is a problem between the two of them, they should deal with it between themselves. It is none of my business,” he said.

Stonebwoy inherited my beef with Samini – Shatta Wale explains

According to him, jumping into someone else’s beef can backfire, especially if the feuding parties eventually reconcile.

“If I join the beef and tomorrow they get back together, I would be found lacking,” he added.

The ‘Je M’apelle’ singer advised artistes to concentrate on activities that directly contribute to their growth and income instead.

“So, we should all mind the business that pays us. If you feel that doing that will pay you, then you can do it. But such things will not pay me, so I won’t disrespect someone because I am friendly with another,” he stated.

Darkovibes further noted that he prefers to remain focused on his own career and avoid unnecessary controversies.

“I focus on myself. I don’t do too much or bite more than I can chew. I stay strongly out of beefs. If you’re my friend and you have an issue with someone and you want to talk to me about it, I would prefer you talk to that person directly, not me,” he explained.

Responding to suggestions that his neutrality could earn him a reputation for being “fake,” the artiste stated, “If minding my business means I’m ‘fake,’ then I am. I don’t expect anyone to follow my business, so I won’t follow anyone’s business.”
