The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of KSI Construction Company Limited, Engr. Koleola Emmanuel Fadeni, has congratulated the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, on his recognition for outstanding contributions to the development of Ondo State.

The commendation followed an award conferred on the Speaker by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa during the Ondo@50 Golden Jubilee celebration, in recognition of Oladiji’s legislative leadership and developmental impact across the state.

In a statement issued on Friday and made available to journalists, Engr. Fadeni described the honour as “well-deserved,” noting that the Speaker has consistently demonstrated commitment to people-oriented governance since assuming office in 2023.

“Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji has distinguished himself as a transformative leader whose performance has redefined legislative governance in Ondo State,” Fadeni said.

“His visionary leadership, innovation and people-centred approach have contributed immensely to the socio-economic advancement and overall development of our dear state.”

Fadeni, a native of Ondo Town, Ondo State, is widely recognised for his philanthropic activities, particularly in the Federal Capital Territory. Through various humanitarian interventions, several communities, including Bwari, have benefited from the construction of boreholes, improving access to clean and potable water.

He has also provided sustained financial and material support to widows, especially during festive periods, gestures beneficiaries say have restored hope and eased economic hardship.

The KSI boss disclosed that plans are underway to expand his humanitarian outreach through the Funke Fadeni Foundation, with a youth empowerment programme scheduled to hold in Ondo State from Monday, April 13 to Thursday, April 16, 2026.

According to him, the programme will focus on skills acquisition, start-up support and poverty alleviation, while widows will also receive cash assistance and food items.

Speaking further on the Speaker’s achievements, Fadeni commended Oladiji’s youth empowerment initiatives, noting that hundreds of young people have been equipped with vocational skills and start-up grants to encourage entrepreneurship.

“He has shown uncommon passion for empowering young people, creating opportunities for self-reliance and reducing unemployment,” he said.

He also praised the Speaker’s interventions in rural healthcare delivery, particularly the provision of free medical services to underserved communities across the state.

Fadeni highlighted Oladiji’s contributions to infrastructure development, including the construction of roads and classroom blocks, as well as sustained investment in education through scholarship schemes and the distribution of learning materials to indigent students.

“Under his watch, the Ondo State House of Assembly has passed landmark legislations aimed at improving the welfare of the people,” he added.

Among the bills cited were the Ondo State Education Reform Bill, the Health Insurance Scheme Amendment Bill, and the Agricultural Empowerment Bill, alongside advocacy for the digitalisation of legislative processes.

Fadeni recalled that Ondo State became the first in the South-West to implement an e-registration platform for legislative record-keeping and tracking, a move he said enhanced transparency and boosted public trust in the Assembly.

Beyond legislative duties, he noted that the Speaker has remained closely connected to his constituents through regular town hall meetings and grassroots engagement.

“This inclusive leadership style has fostered unity within the House and ensured that development reaches all parts of the state,” he said.

Fadeni added that the Speaker’s passion for public welfare aligns with his own humanitarian vision through the Funke Fadeni Foundation, which focuses on empowering youths and widows in Ondo Town and beyond.

“While congratulating you on this well-deserved recognition, it is my prayer that God Almighty continues to grant you wisdom, strength and good health as you serve humanity and the people of Ondo State,” he said.
