Prince David Osei Slams Some Pastors For ‘Embarrassing’ God

Outspoken actor and New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporter, Prince David Osei, has expressed his frustration with some pastors over what he describes as the growing trend of misleading prophecies.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, the actor accused some men of God of attributing statements to God that were never divinely inspired. According to him, such actions are not only deceptive but also damaging to believers’ faith.

Prince David Osei indicated that the conduct of some pastors has pushed many Christians to seek a more personal relationship with God rather than relying solely on prophetic declarations. He further likened trusting certain pastors in recent times to a dangerous gamble, suggesting it has become increasingly difficult to discern truth from deception.

‘Some of you pastors are honestly embarrassing God, speaking what He never said and walking around with pride like it’s a virtue. No wonder so many believers now seek the face of Elohim for themselves. Trusting some pastors today feels like playing hide-and-seek with the devil,” he wrote.

His comments surfaced shortly after a widely discussed prophecy by Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun failed to come true.

The prophet had earlier predicted that former Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong, would win the NPP’s presidential primaries and eventually lead the party as its flagbearer.

Following the outcome of the primaries, Prophet Nelson-Eshun issued a public apology on January 31, 2026, acknowledging that his prophecy was incorrect. In a statement titled “Public Statement & Apology,” he admitted fault and expressed regret for the impact his declaration had on individuals who acted based on his words.

“That word did not come to pass. I missed it. I was wrong. I am deeply sorry, and I ask for your forgiveness,” the prophet stated, adding that the prophecy had affected people emotionally, spiritually, and politically.

The incident has since reignited public debate about accountability and responsibility within prophetic ministry in the country.
