The Executive Chairman of KRIF Ghana Limited, Reverend Kennedy Okosun, has described the maiden Pan African Regal Summit held in Accra as a resounding success, saying it exceeded expectations.

According to him, the summit received strong moral support and commitment from the Government of Ghana as well as representatives of several African and non-African countries, all aimed at advancing the transformation of the continent.

Rev. Okosun made these remarks at a media briefing in Accra yesterday to provide updates on the outcomes and the way forward following the summit, which was held from Friday, January 23 to Sunday, January 26.

He described the event as a defining moment in the evolution of Pan-African dialogue on leadership, governance, enterprise, entrepreneurship, diplomacy and social transformation, noting that it was held in an atmosphere of both national and continental significance.

“The representation from the seat of government, led by the Chief of Staff, Mr Julius Debrah; the Government of Nigeria through its Ambassador; as well as representatives from Suriname, Syria, Egypt, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, traditional authorities, Members of Parliament, UNICEF and industry players, underscores the full endorsement and reaffirms government support for platforms that promote ethical leadership, inclusive governance and Pan-African cooperation,” he said.

Rev. Okosun said the contributions of participants brought clarity, courage and credibility to discussions on Africa’s future, particularly on pressing issues such as banking, finance and investment, women, gender and social development, entrepreneurship, Pan-Africanism and diplomatic cooperation among African nations.

He noted that the sessions went beyond rhetoric, generating practical insights, strategic thinking and actionable recommendations, which culminated in the issuance of a communiqué. He added that a think tank would be established to ensure the effective implementation of the recommendations.

The Executive Chairman further disclosed that a gala night was held to honour individuals and countries for excellence in diplomacy, entrepreneurship, leadership and social work, whose contributions continue to inspire continental progress.

This was followed by a church service on January 25, which, he said, reaffirmed a shared commitment to moral leadership, responsibility and nation-building.

“It will be recorded for posterity that the Pan African Regal Summit has emerged as a credible Pan-African convening platform of growing global relevance, as we sustain the vision, compare notes and continue dialogue with partners, collaborators and stakeholders,” he stated.

Rev. Okosun emphasised that the summit would not be a one-off event, but would continue to make meaningful impact across the continent, stressing that a truly Pan-African institution had begun a journey toward transformation.

He explained that although the initiative is headquartered in Ghana, it would rotate among African countries.

Rev. Okosun commended the Government of Ghana, partners, speakers, delegates, diplomatic missions and industry players for their support and participation in making the summit a success.
