Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun says he has paused on prophesying on politics
The Head Pastor of Spiritlife Revival Ministries, Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun, has announced a temporary withdrawal from making public prophetic declarations, particularly on national and political matters, following the failure of his prophecy on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries.
The prophet had earlier predicted, through a book, videos, and media interviews, that former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, would win the NPP flagbearership race, a prophecy that did not materialise.
Prophet ElBernard apologises after failed election prophecy
In an accountability statement released after a public apology on January 31, 2026, Prophet ElBernard said he had taken the decision โin humility and accountabilityโ after reflecting on the prophetic declarations he made about the NPP primaries.

According to him, the step is not a retreat from his calling but a conscious effort to strengthen accountability, integrity, and discernment in his ministry.
He said the pause would allow him time for prayer, counsel, and deep reflection.

The January 31 NPP primaries saw former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia emerge as the winner in a landslide victory over his four contenders, securing support across all regions.
