Agogo (Ash), Jan. 28, GNA – Joy and appreciation filled APCE Demonstration ‘C’ School at Agogo in the Asante-Akim South District as the school officially unveiled a newly painted classroom block and commissioned ceiling fans donated by the 2002-year group of Agogo Presbyterian College of Education (APCE).

The initiative has significantly enhanced both the comfort of pupils and appearance of the classrooms.

Dignitaries drawn from the district assembly, traditional authorities and other stakeholders, who attended the event commended the old students for their generosity and strong commitment to education.

They urged pupils, teachers, and school authorities to cultivate a strong maintenance culture to ensure the facilities remained in good condition for many years.

Pupils were also encouraged to take their studies seriously and make effective use of the improved learning environment.

Mr Augustine Kwanin, the Headteacher of APCE Demonstration ‘C’ School, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the old students for what he described as a timely and impactful intervention.

He noted that the project had significantly boosted morale among both pupils and staff.

Mr Kwanin used the occasion to appeal to other old students’ associations, philanthropists, corporate bodies, and well-meaning individuals to support the school in addressing other pressing needs.

These include the establishment of a well-equipped ICT laboratory, a functional library, and the provision of additional teaching and learning materials to help improve academic performance.

Dr Prince Osei Amoako, speaking on behalf of the APCE Old Students (2002 Year Group), explained that the project was motivated by their desire to give back to their alma mater and contribute meaningfully to the promotion of quality education.

Madam Sarah Amoakoa, the Municipal Chief Executive, stated that President John Dramani Mahama remained committed to completing all ongoing projects within the municipality.

She assured the public that the Assembly would ensure the completion of all projects and renovation works that have already begun.

She further called on individuals and corporate institutions to support the Assembly’s development efforts and commended the old students for their thoughtful and generous contribution to the school.
