Popular Ghanaian actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has opened up about how she deals with trolls and negative comments on social media.

Speaking while hosting a show on Onua TV on January 20, 2026, McBrown explained that she has adopted a simple but effective approach to handling online hate in order to protect her mental and emotional well-being.

According to her, whenever someone she does not know leaves a negative comment under her post, she deletes it without hesitation.

“When someone I’m not familiar with comes to leave a negative comment under my post, I won’t even check your profile or anything but I will just delete the comment,” she said.

The award-winning actress stated that although her fans and loved ones often come to her defence in the comment section, she prefers to remove such comments to save them the stress.

‘I am divorced and not ashamed of it’ – McBrown asserts

“Sometimes, our loved ones fight for us with the people dropping the hate comments but to save them the stress, I would delete the comments,” she shared.

McBrown disclosed that in the past, she used to take time to investigate who was behind negative comments before responding or reacting, but she has since outgrown that habit.

“At first, I used to get time to check who the person is or where he/she stays to see if the person was worth the attention,” she noted.

She emphasised that she has now learnt not to allow a single negative remark to overshadow the overwhelming love and support she receives from her fans.

“I won’t allow someone one minute comment to spoil my one million comments,” she added.
