Mercy Okocha, daughter of popular Nigerian actor Charles Okocha, has revealed that many men are hesitant to date her because of her father.

Naija News reports that she explained in a video that while some men like her, they admit they are intimidated by him, making it difficult for anyone to consider marriage.

She wrote: “Small thing I go hear ‘I like you but I dey fear your papa’, Naso person wan take marry?”

Mercy is one of Charles Okocha’s children and has gained attention through social media, where videos of her interactions with her father often go viral.

She is known for her close relationship with him, and fans have frequently commented on their bond.

Although her exact age is not publicly known, she is understood to be a teenager or young adult.

In other news, Nollywood actress and singer, Vee Iye, has spoken on the growing pressure she faces to get married as she gets closer to turning 30, saying the experience has become tiring and frustrating.

Naija News reports that in a post shared on her social media page on January 18, 2026, the entertainer explained that conversations around her life have increasingly shifted toward marriage, even from people who barely check in on her personal well-being or career.

Vee narrated how a friend she had not spoken to in a long time suddenly called her after relocating abroad with her family.

According to her, the first and main question was about when she planned to get married, without any concern for her work or how she was surviving financially.
