Gospel singer Florence Obinim (L) says actress Benedicta Gafah (R) isn't her benchmark Gospel singer Florence Obinim (L) says actress Benedicta Gafah (R) isn’t her benchmark

Gospel musician Florence Obinim’s new look has sparked a wave of criticism on social media in recent months, with netizens alleging that she may have undergone plastic surgery.

Florence, who is married to popular Ghanaian pastor Bishop Daniel Obinim, addressed the backlash directly, responding to claims that she intentionally had cosmetic surgery to resemble actress Benedicta Gafah.

In a video shared on X on January 18, 2026, the acclaimed singer firmly denied the allegations, stressing that she has never undergone any form of plastic surgery.

‘I’m not interested in anyone’s man’ – Benedicta Gafah reacts to claims of dating Obinim

Addressing the controversy surrounding her and actress Benedicta Gafah, gospel musician Florence Obinim asserted that Gafah does not meet her standards, emphasizing that she has no reason to undergo plastic surgery.

“Gafah isn’t my friend because she is an actress and I am a singer. The one thing that disgusts me is that people started claiming that I wanted to be like Gafah, which is why I slimmed down,” she said.

Florence further challenged critics, questioning whether Benedicta Gafah should be considered the most beautiful woman in the country.

‘Enough with the character assassination!’ – Florence Obinim to bloggers

Referring to Bishop Obinim’s past admission of having multiple relationships outside his marriage, Florence Obinim questioned whether Benedicta Gafah is considered the most attractive among them.

“Even if Bishop had a relationship with her, I want to ask whether she is the only beautiful woman among my husband’s exes.

“Why won’t I learn from Bishop’s former girlfriends when some of them are more attractive than Gafah? The only person I learn from is God and His word. But I am interested in a healthy lifestyle, and I will continue to slim down,” she added.
