Sunyani, (Bono), Jan. 14, GNA – The GRATIS Foundation has participated in a technical engagement with a delegation of the business community from China, as part of its on-going efforts to promote and spur investments, trade and industrialization in the country.
A statement issued and signed by Dr Isaac Adaebsah, the Chief Executive Officer of GRATIS Foundation and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said the technical engagement was held at the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry (MoTAI) in Accra.
“During the engagement, GRATIS Foundation delivered a technical presentation highlighting its mandate to support local manufacturing, technology transfer, and industrial capacity development”, it stated.
The statement said the presentation outlined how GRATIS works with investors to establish and adapt manufacturing and agro-industrial operations, support local assembly and production lines, and develop skilled local workforces.
“GRATIS emphasized its relevance to Chinese companies with interests in automotive and electric vehicle assembly, agro-processing and mechanisation, industrial equipment manufacturing, energy-related technologies, and circular economy initiatives”, it explained.
GRATIS also explained its step-by-step engagement process, available technical support, and collaboration pathways with other government institutions.
The interaction formed part of MoTAI’s broader strategy to position Ghana as a competitive destination for industrial investment and value-addition partnerships.
“The engagement concluded with discussions on next steps, including technical meetings, site visits, and potential pilot collaborations”, the statement indicated.
GRATIS reaffirmed its commitment to working with international partners to strengthen Ghana’s manufacturing base and support sustainable industrial growth, it added.
