NPP investigates ‘Ejisu Butterfly’ Aduomi after releasing Hopeson, Boniface, others –

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ejisu Constituency has reportedly filed a report on alleged support for Alan Kyeremateng by its former Member of Parliament, Kwame Owusu Aduomi.

Kwabena Owusu Aduomi allegedly endorsed leader of Movement for Change, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen to become the next President of Ghana as against the elected flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Mr. Aduomi who was reportedly speaking to some party faithfuls said, the only way Ejisu constituency can see developmental projects is to vote massively for Alan Kyerematen else they should forget having any fair share of the national cake, he said on video a tape that is shrouded in controversy.

According to him, Ghanaians should not trust any other candidate apart from Alan Kyerematen who is says “has what it takes to manage the country”.

The NPP is investigating whether the said video tape was recorded during Alan’s campaign before he resigned from the party to contest as an independent candidate in the 2024 general election or it was recorded after.

Should the party confirm it was recorded after, Kwame Owusu Aduomi will join Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, Hopeson Adorye, Nana Ohene Ntow, a former General Secretary of the NPP and Boniface Abubakar Saddique to forfeit their NPP membership.

The party wrote a letter of membership forfeiture to the four after they openly stepped out as supporters of Kyerematen and his Movement for Change, but still insist on their membership of the ruling party.

Some forces in the Constituency alleged the incumbent MP John Kumah is behind the latest move to remove Kwame Aduomi as he is believed to be working against the interest of the MP.

John Kumah is also reportedly lobbying very hard to be considered NPP running mate in the 2024 election.
