Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC), Legon, made it a record of seven-time winners of the National Science and Maths Quiz, when they pulled a final round surprise to overtake Kumasi based Prempeh College to win the ultimate in 2022.
PRESEC ended the final round with 50 points as against 41 by Prempeh College and 32 points by Adisadel College.
The victory of the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School is very important because it confirms a historic facts
When NSMQ started in Accra, Prempeh won (1994) and then PRESEC won (1995).
When NSMQ was hosted in Kumasi, Prempeh won (2021) and then PRESEC won (2022).
The fact is whenever NSMQ is hosted in a new place, Prempeh has to open the door for the others to follow.
2022 NSMQ has been very educative, entertaining and informative. Congratulations to all schools who participated in the quiz this year and we hope to see you back in Kumasi next year.
