Martin Kpebu, What Is Actually Wrong With You? – PK Sarpong Tackles Lawyer Martin Kpebu

Popular writer for the ruling NPP, P.K Sarpong has asked what is actually wrong with Lawyer Martin Kpebu for calling for an uprising by Ghanaians. Martin Kpebu made the above comment on Joynews file following the economic crisis facing Ghana.

In a post shared on P.K Sarpong’s official Facebook page on Saturday, 22nd October 2022, he wrote;

“Martin Kpebu, what is actually wrong with you? Why are you so angry? Did you fight for independence for Ghana? Why are you calling for an uprising just because we are facing economic challenges?

You sound like the angriest of mankind. What do you stand to gain if there is a coup d’état in Ghana like you are surreptitiously calling for?

Why are you so worked up? We are in a democratic society and not in a jungle and I am surprised this simple fact has eluded you as a lawyer.”

In case you’ve been blindfolded by your hatred towards this government for which reason you have missed that simple fact of Ghana practicing democracy, let me remind you. P

The only time a sitting president or administration can be sacked is during elections. We have chosen a path that grants citizens the power to determine who leads them in four years during elections.

Your prognosis belongs to the dark ages. We are not in a military state where people can wake up and oust sitting presidents through the gun.

You, Martin Kpebu, should there be an uprising, won’t you run away to Togo or Benin through unapproved routes? Stop inciting people against this government.

You allow your emotions to lead you in making your submissions instead of the legal knowledge in you.

You are under no compulsion to be a panelist on television shows. You lack the temperament and finesse to be speaking to issues of national importance on television.

Rattling English like a parrot or singing like a canary bird does not make you the wisest nor most knowledgeable man on the continent. I blame these media outlets that invite you to speak to issues beyond your comprehension. PK Sarpong added.
