Prof Gyampo Finally Sends A Controversial Message To Akufo-Addo Over Cutting Down Of Salaries

A Professor of the University of Ghana, Political Science Department, Professor Ransford Gyampo has finally sent a controversial message to President Akufo-Addo over the cutting down of salaries by himself and appointees of the government. President Akufo-Addo said recently that himself, the Vice President, and all the appointees of his government have cut down 30 percent of their salaries because of the economic crisis the country is facing now.

The news received diverse opinions from Ghanaians. Some people do not believe in the supposed cutting down of salaries and some also think that 30 percent is too small and that the President and his people should cut down a higher percentage. Professor Gyampo has boldly revealed that until he sees the pay slip of the appointees of Akufo-Addo, he will not believe that they’ve cut down their salaries because of the extravagant lifestyle they live even in these hard times.

“ Mr. President, unless we see the pay slip of the appointees, we are unable to trust the refrain that their salaries have been reduced by 30%. We live with them and know their opulent lifestyle hasn’t changed even in the days of hardships. We need evidence.” Professor Gyampo boldly revealed this on his Facebook page.

Do you agree with what Prof Gyampo is saying or do you think no evidence is needed because they’ve indeed reduced their salaries by 30%??

Do you think the 30% is too small and so they should reduce it with a higher percentage?
