The government’s decision to take Ghana to the International Monetary Fund for a bailout because of the economic challenges the country is going through has become the topic most media stations and other top personalities in the country talk about.
In new today the former minister of Trade and Industry Hon. Murtala Muhammed speaking on GHOne morning show made it clear that is not wrong if the president has now listened to advice to go to IMF for a bailout. As it always said two in the Akan proverb “heads are better than one”.
Earlier he was told by the strong opposition party to stay of out E-levy and head to the IMF for support but he turned death’s ear. Now that he has accepted to head to IMF, he should take note of this important information.
One the president should look for someone who has much knowledge or experience and can make good negotiating to be part of his team. Again, he should make sure the finance minister is out of the team.
