It was reported yesterday that Uche Nwosu, the son in law of a former governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, was kidnapped by gunmen, in Imo State.

According to Sahara Reporters report, the incident happened yesterday after a church service in his home town, Eziama Obieri in Nkwere Local Government Area of Imo state.

Based on that note, a well known human rights activist, Adeyanju Deji decided to react. While reacting to the incident, he made it known that if Uche Nwosu was killed mistakenly when he was about to be abducted, they would have denied and blamed the IPOB.

Few hours after the sad incident, the Imo State police command came and stated it clearly that Uche Nwosu was not Kidnapped as claimed, but was arrested by the the police.

This is really sad and unfortunate. I really don’t think we must continue this way as a country. The police should have arrested him properly if he did something wrong instead of acting like kidnappers.

Just like Deji Adeyanju just said here, if he was mistakenly killed, the police might deny it. Things must be done well so that we will be able to move our country forward.
