According to the CEO and Proprietor of the school Dr Richard Asiedu on Rich FM 98.7 at Assin Fosu, “out of about 4900 candidates that sat for the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination across the three campuses including Assin Fosu, Mankessim and Dunkwa-on-Offin, they have recorded a 100% pass, 30 different candidates with 8A’s and 98% distinction”.
The Host of ‘Kwantsenpondo’ an afternoon drive show, NAC Aberantie on Rich FM 98.7 through an interview asked Dr Richard Asiedu several questions regarding the secret of the stellar performance the candidates of St Andrews SHS put up and this was the reply ;
“The success of St Andrews SHS had always been self-discipline, hardworking on the part of the students as well as the teachers but above all, my staff had always been cooperating with each other. Such a team work has yielded the school with the greatest performance we have seen today” Dr Asiedu lamented.
“At St Andrews SHS, you hardly see students roaming about outside the premises of the school. Students always sit at their comfort zones and study their books after the normal classes hours and during prep periods” He said
The students academic performance is outstanding and unprecedented so far as the WAEC examination is concerned.
It is in view of this that Dr Richard Kofi Asiedu has released an expensive luxury car, worth $210,000 which is equivalent to GH₵1,296,750.00, known as Mitsuoka galaj, the first of it kind in Ghana to celebrate the best performance of St Andrews SHS come next year 2022.
St Andrews SHS topped last year’s WASSCE (2020) and per WAEC statistics, the school pulled out a 98.8% average pass mark out of the vast number of students the school registered for the examination.
